CPR Member Event

Thursday, June 25th, join CPR member Girls for Gender Equity for a Twitter storm, for the only stated meeting of the New York City Council before they agree to a budget – join in on the tweeting spree to let City Council members know that young people deserve abundant resources, which is only possible with police-free schools.

The deadline to reach a handshake agreement on the Fiscal Year 2021 budget is fast approaching, and we need council members to commit to divesting from the NYPD by at least $1 billion this fiscal year to invest in communities! Follow GGE on twitter @GGENYC for updates, like, and retweet their posts!

CPR Campaign Event

Join us for the virtual edition of Mayday Space's Breaking Bread series, which aims to bring together members of grassroots groups and the politically-engaged public to sharpen strategies, celebrate wins, and strengthen movements for transformative change.

HOW THE BREAKING BREAD SERIES WORKS:

During each gathering, the partner group has 30 minutes to present their victories, challenges, and lessons learned with those assembled. This is a chance to create connections between issues, and for organizations to solicit volunteers, donors or campaign advice (if desired) in whatever format they choose. The Mayday crew then helps facilitate small group conversations on movement strategy. Usually this is done over a prepared free meal at our space, but this time we’ll be using breakout rooms in Zoom where participants can share opportunities to engage meaningfully in efforts to end policing as we know it.

RSVP: Please use the WithFriends link to secure your seat at the virtual table: http://tinyurl.com/CPRandMayday
